I wear an 8.5W or 9 and need a roomy toe box - many shoes don't even fit me with a 9. Got Griffins in a 9 and am happy to report that they were roomy and comfortable from the start. Flexible outsole with good grip for skating. The insole cushions well enough for shock and all day wear. Limited ventilation so the 90's days were a bit hot. But shoes do a great job with foot powder. The protector collects small pebbles, so take them out with a toothpick. Happy.
