Mine had no problems during yours.
I had no problems, as long as you don't let it stretch to its full length, it will last a long time. I wish there was a way to buy extra cords/ropes to increase the resistance. I have contacted the company twice and have not yet received a reply from them. It works very well for us (father and two children (soccer players aged 12 and 16)).
