Review on πŸ”Œ iVAC Pro Tool Plus Sensor by Marcus Hardin

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Save me so much time!

This is my second device. I have one for my table saw and one for my miter saw. It's not particularly difficult. It just saves me the time of having to go to the dust collector every time I want to start or stop the tool. Now all I can think about is the specific tool I want to use and know that the dust will be collected without any extra effort. One thing I didn't plan for was an extra outlet for a USB power adapter to power the sensor. . After weeks of running USB cables across the floor, I used a cabinet mount mini power strip (x2 outlets) that also has a dual USB 1A plug. So I installed them under or behind each instrument and plugged the bar into the wall outlets. I then connect the appropriate instrument to the mini-strip and connect the iVac sensor's USB-A port to the USB port on the same strip. Now I power both the sensor and the instrument itself with the same power cord. Be careful as the mini strip rating is only 12A which is a problem if your tool current is > 12A. Both of my saws are rated for less than 12 amps and they are each wired to a separate circuit breaker and dust collector. But the iVac Pro system is definitely worth the money. I will be adding more sensors for my router table and any future power tools in the future.
