I really liked this laptop. Its performance was excellent and it was quite portable and lightweight. Unfortunately, this is not a good investment in the long run. I left it on for two days to run the game (hard surface, unobstructed airflow) and the left (CPU) fan started failing. While it might be unusual to leave it on, it shouldn't be a problem for any laptop, especially a four-month-old one. Ultimately, this is very bad for the longevity of the product and users should probably expect something to fail shortly after the warranty has expired. That would be bad enough, but Gigabyte's warranty support is terrible. Their system is registering my laptop (bought from Newegg in the US) with an invalid US serial number, which means their RMA system will not accept my serial number at all. Responses via the support site are accepted within 1 day and may or may not be helpful. I ended up doing an RMA with a shortened version of the serial number which for some reason he accepted but they emailed back saying it was an invalid serial number. Tech support on the website said to call a number that doesn't work. They then said the request was being processed, which took two weeks with no real progress. No one buying this from Newegg (same place I bought it from) should expect an easier experience. In short, not only is something likely to fail, it will happen just after the warranty period has expired. And even if it's still under warranty, it takes more than two weeks for the RMA to be approved. As of this writing, it looks like it will take at least a month from start to finish. The fan will hold up for now, but if you buy one and run into a major problem, know that you'll likely be without it for a significant amount of time.
