After receiving this muzzle about a week ago I finally worked up the courage to try it out. It took my horse about 20 minutes to figure out that he could still get a small amount of grass through the small hole in his snout (about the size of a quarter), which kept him busy and allowed him to focus on something else to focus than to get the damn piece. out - which he tried unsuccessfully. For my convenience, it has a quick release velcro strap that will come loose if it rubs against something and gets stuck. Now he can graze as long as my other horse. Simple and beautiful!
