Almost Great Docking Station, Causes Bluetooth Interference and Disables AirPods

This should have been my USB-C extender of choice, but when plugged in it calls up Bluetooth and frequently disconnects mine AirPods. They play for 1-2 seconds and then turn off. I thought it might have something to do with the OS X software, but when I unplugged the dock I noticed that everything was working fine. It is imperative that this deficiency be remedied.
