The camera lens itself has some movement, so you can point it where you want the best view. It's a telephoto lens so it doesn't really get much of the rear (depending on your car) but that's the way it is - this camera is geared more towards getting that rear view like your rear view mirror. If you want a reversing camera to keep an eye on both the passenger and the surroundings, you should buy another reversing camera module (ideal for e.g. a car sharing driver). It has a large wide field of view and has no vision problems. through the medium tint on our back glass. It's a bit expensive for what you're buying but I see it as insurance - GW322 + rear camera + good SD card - it's less than a deductible so if it helps you prove your innocence with just one claim , for which you paid it. And even if you don't, knowing you have it is worth a lot!
