I can compare this and the previous model without a screen. I have two old and one new house. Technically, they are almost identical. They differ only in the way of indication and power supply. The new model (this one) has an external power supply. This is both a plus and a minus. On the one hand, a bulky fork is often inconvenient. On the other hand, the power cord can be disconnected from the case, which is convenient for maintenance. The screen looks nice. Allows you to see the humidity from the built-in sensor directly on the device (as for me, the built-in sensor is a useless thing). When pouring water, the water level is displayed as a percentage on the screen. On the old model, only a ruler of 5 segments. I would not say that the screen significantly affects usability. The screen is on the front, and the indicators of the old model are on top. Which is more convenient depends on where the humidifier is located - on the floor or on the table.
