To start by answering the rust comments, this is bare unseasoned cast iron, of course it will rust! It is not black, as in the photo, but silver, made of raw iron. Try to educate yourself about cast iron seasoning before using it. I applied five thin coats of linseed oil at 450 degrees in the oven for an hour each and chilled between coats, almost completely black with perfect seasoning with no sticking or rusting. I removed the wooden handle before putting it in the oven. Now that it's perfectly seasoned I've used it to cook bacon in my cast iron skillet, the best bacon I've ever had, how come I didn't know about these presses before? game changer! I love the round design, it fits perfectly in the pan and prevents splattering! I recommend to everyone! Just season it right and oil it between uses and you'll never have to worry about rusting or sticking.
