Finally! No Ant+ dropouts on Zwift

Pluggable. you are the greatest. I've tried everything to make my Zwift installation work well with minimal latency and no Ant+ dropouts, I've finally found it. My setup is about 12 feet in space between the bike and the computer. Initially, reception was fine using the Antself Ant+ stick plugged into the back of the computer, although I had periods of significant Ant+ signal dropouts. From all my research, Wi-Fi/Bluetooth interference sometimes plays a role in Ant+ dropouts. So I moved the fan location, switched my WiFi to 5G, switched my 2.4GHz band to a fixed channel, and all other suggestions. No luck, still random dropouts (great some days, terrible some days). I then bought an inactive 10ft cable to bring the Ant+ joystick closer to the bike, no luck, still falls out. Then I bought a 25 foot active cable. to bring it even closer, but for some reason the computer would recognize that an Ant+ Stick was plugged in, even though Zwift wouldn't recognize any devices (although the power requirements for an Ant+ Stick are extremely low). Thinking it was a cable problem I bought another one but shorter thought hey maybe it's too far for power, same problem. I'd like to think that I was unlucky twice with two bad cables or lucky that it led me to this cable. Finally, I bit the bullet by trying this actively powered cable. What do you know, the Ant+ stick was recognized, Zwift found the devices straight away, and no dropouts after 5 rides. I really hope this isn't just a lucky streak and I really hope that the extra power coupled with the movement a few feet from the bottom bracket will do the trick. Additionally, since this is used for real-time gaming, I was concerned that there would be a visible lag due to the cable length. So I connected the device to my main device and Zwift at the same time and found that the performance numbers are pretty much the same and that's not an issue. Overall I am very happy with this purchase and hope it continues to perform as well as it has over the past few rides. I will update this post if I encounter any problems.
