Although the wire rope sling holds all the parts together, the sling eventually becomes a hindrance. I hang it near my parts basket and grab the loose end when I want to use it. The pieces slide along the wire as if running away from me. Inserting an unfamiliar screw into the internal thread of the validator is easy if you use the right bit. But trying to fit the checker's male thread into a solid base is next to impossible, as you have to twist the entire cord around you. I'll probably end up removing all the details from the strap. The color coding (black finish - metric, chrome finish - SAE) is a nice touch.
