I wanted to try this shoe but not at a high price. When lower prices for purples became available I figured I'd try wearing them at home. They fit great. I ordered the usual size 9.5, everything fit perfectly. The arch is in a great position and the insole is removable. I have a narrow foot and the medium size is quite snug on the top of my foot. Someone with a real medium might find it too narrow. The color purple is not too bright, the sole is purple too. Goes well with Capri. It's really not a winter color. Important Note: The outsole is textured to prevent slippage as this shoe is more of a "service" shoe. This texture works great on my hardwood and laminate floors, but they get sticky on carpet and I've slipped a few times because of it. Be careful with carpet! That being said, after a few days of wearing, both shoes began to creak noticeably with every step. Not only is it driving me crazy, but my two cats are too. I would have returned if I had known it would be like this. I know some have mentioned this, and I've had other Vionics do this over the years, but they usually do this when they're brand new. I've worn them outside and will continue to wear them, but I hate that squeak.
