For the past 2 years I have had engine and transmission heater issues on heavy towing (24K#s). Duramax engine, Allison transmission. Several times the computer told me to stop, otherwise it turned me off. Since installing this cooler I have had no other heat issues related to transmission temp or engine temp. I often haul heavy loads in the mountains where the top speed is 20mph because of the tight turns. Interestingly, the transmission ran very hard going down a hill because the thermally controlled engine fan shut off because the engine was under 190, and then at 20 mph downhill the stock transmission cooler wasn't getting enough airflow. That's no problem now.
