I like to use any additive sparingly

Even though the instructions say to use a quart, I like to use any additive sparingly. I used about a pint of this with my oil change and it took about a days driving and the one sticky lifter I had quieted down nicely. Can't always guarantee 100% that this was the solution, but that lifter was noisy for a while and other than the regular oil change with the normal brand of oil I use, this was the only change.

Pros
  • Great extra lube protection for engines
Cons
  • I can't honestly claim that it made any difference.

Lowered oil consumption, but slightly lower mileage.

Slight loss in mileage. Many autos oils are low viscosity, 5W-20 or even 0W-20. If you use a heavier oil you may loose mileage. This has to do with the engines crankcase pressure. Heavier oils can increase the engines crankcase pressure and this creates greater resistance on the pistons downward stroke. The piston is pushing against greater pressure. So with Hy-Per Lube being so thick it can also lower your cars mileage. I have noticed a slight loss in mileage but because my truck is 22 years…

Pros
  • This stuff is amazing increase is your fuel mileage and your engine light
Cons
  • The product is too expensive compared to other engine lubricants

i love it, the 6cyl truck ticked also in the .

i bought my hyperlube at auto zone, got a 91 ranger 6cyl n 93 4cyl ranger,i usede to drive 4cyl in the winter and the hyper lube made that engine tick untill it warmed up,but summer time driving ,i can tell and feel the difference in both trucks,i love it,the 6cyl truck ticked also in the winter untill it warmed up,now thats my high mileage trucks, so what i do i run lucas synthetic additive for winter, just perfect.im not cutting hyperlube down ,i ll always use it in the warm weather

Pros
  • Great thick. Quiets engine and differential and gear box. Buy again
Cons
  • says it quiets lifter tapping, ha, NO IT DOES NOT, it even made them louder!

BUY BUY BUY! in my review

OK so this stuff is amazing I recommend it to everyone when doing an oil change this not only smooths out your engine in the way it drives but I’ve noticed slight MPG improvement as well your engine will definitely last you a very long time using this! I prefer this brand over Lucas since when I added the competitors brand my vehicle ran a little rougher when driving so I switched back to this and it’s night and day!

Pros
  • Works great
Cons
  • The product can cause allergic reactions in some people

First time user for my opinion

First time to use this product. I have used Lucas before and I thought I would try this one. like honey very sticky. I will update later if I see less oil consumption on a f250 200k motor.

Pros
  • Price was very good And a very good product
Cons
  • There are cheaper alternatives available in the market

Great stuff - my new review

I use Hy-Per Lube in conjunction with Marvel Mystery Oil with every oil change with all my vehicles as a preventative measure. Only 8 to 12oz the MMO in each oil change mixture. The point of the Marvel Mystery Oil is to prevent carbon from building up around the piston rings. I have used heavier amounts of Marvel Mystery Oil to release stuck piston rings on older engines ill maintained and it has revived oil burning engines to engines that no longer used oil. Also lucas oil additive is about…

Pros
  • A+A+A+
Cons
  • It can cause issues in engines that already have high mileage

this product work a lot better than Lucas oil stabilizer

GM cars, (3.4 engines) are famous for its knocking at start up and after 65 miles approx., this product its started to dissipate every single noise in my high mileage engine. In my case, this product work a lot better than Lucas oil stabilizer.

Pros
  • Excellent product for older cars - make your engine last longer. Been using this for years.
Cons
  • The product does not provide long-lasting benefits

My aunt was having oil burning issues, a quart a week in a Honda engine that was neglected from regular servicing. There was major sludge build up in the rocker and spring area as a mechanic showed us. It still had a ticking noise after the cleaning and other small repairs. My aunt asked me what else can she do to help. First we added a quart of 15w30 diesel oil, it help smooth out the engine but still had a tick and burning a bit less. Also did an motor flush to clean any remaining gunk. I knew

Pros
  • Excellent
Cons
  • The product may not be suitable for older engines

Great product! on my review.

My husband used this product for his 77 vette. It has mad a difference in start up as well as overall engine performance. He is a stickler when it comes to his "baby" and says he is very satisfied!

Pros
  • Engine & Oil
Cons
  • It can cause oil sludge buildup in the engine

Only $8.99 so why not try it!

Like others, I've been using various oil additives for years. I'll try anything once. I have two cars. 1998 Avalon V6 for summer and 2001 Buick 3.1 V6 for winter. Recently tried this stuff on the Avalon with 188,000 miles. I could be imagining this but it seems to run peppier! Time will tell for gas mileage. I'll use this product next fall on my Buick. Cold start-ups should be better .

Pros
  • Fit type: Universal Fit
Cons
  • It requires frequent reapplication for best results

Hy-Per Lube Oil Supplement

I started using Hy-Per Lube products when I lived in Seattle. A mechanic there I knew recommended it for my then old Volvo once it had over 100,000 miles. My sister drives that Volvo which now has over 200,000 miles on it and she still put Hy-Per Lube Oil Supplement in it. It worked great in that car an works well in my Ford Escape that has almost 200,000 miles. Still has plenty of pep for driving in the mountains here in Colorado and doesn't burn a drop of oil.

Pros
  • been using for years
Cons
  • It can cause engine knocking in some vehicles

Impressive stuff best in my review

I can literally feel my 28 year old engine running like it did it’s first oil change. Amazing stuff, I hope it doesn’t break down too quickly or anything.

Pros
  • ‎USA
Cons
  • Some users report that it caused their engine to smoke

Made it worst on my review.

I just changed oil and add this. From cold start I can hear tapping noise. I put in a just over 100 miles and started running rough at start-up. Once the engine runs for a while no more tapping noise. I think this product is too thick. I used 5w30 full synthetic with this on my 98 Expedition with 163k miles.

Pros
  • ‎2.03 pounds
Cons
  • The results may vary depending on the engine's condition

Beats Lucas hands down

I used Lucas for years without any real results. Switched to Hy-per lube & my 22R engine is quieter, smoother & my oil pressure is much much better. Do some research and you'll see Hy-per lube is clearly a superior product on every level

Pros
  • Bought this for my two cylinder Mitsubishi diesel seems to be Working really well
Cons
  • The product can cause excessive engine vibrations

I have been changing oil a LONG TIME and have used many products including LUCAS, STP, etc. and from now on it is this product in the motor. I have two Buicks with the 3.8 V6 Series 2 engines among 4 other vehicles. Now, these motors are good engines but they tend to be a bit "thrashy" for lack of a better word. They sound like sewing machines at start up and quiet down a bit when warmed up. This Hy-Per Lube product seems to dissipate some of the start up and run "sewing…

Pros
  • Good stuff, but I forgot to add it after the oil change.
Cons
  • The product has a short shelf life

Quieted my 7.3L good for me

2001 F250 7.3L diesel, 245k miles.First I used Rislone engine oil treatment, drove 200 miles, changed the oil.I added half a bottle of this on oil fill (15 quarts). I’ve had 2 neighbors comment on how much quieter my truck is now.

Pros
  • I have noticed a slight loss in gas mileages because Hy-Per Lube is a thick viscosity oil.
Cons
  • No sub for full synthetic regularly changed.

Love this stuff good for me

I put a bottle in my 200 Honda Accord V6, with 235,000 miles on the original engine, and yes, it had a noticeable affect, it was quieter, smoother, the engine on cold starts so much quieter and smoother too, had no effect on the VTECH system, thing would still haul up to the speed limiter, So I then put a bottle in 1997 Suzuki sidekick, same again so much smoother, and same again, cold starts are so smoother. On all three cars, the gas mileage as increased, on average around 3 to 5 mpg.I know…

Pros
  • This stuff is amazing. Car, lawn mowers, ...anything with an engine.
Cons
  • The product may cause engine wear and tear
