Was it too much for my home?

I feel better after the installation. Before we installed it, lightning struck near our house. He fried a few things, including what was on the surge protector. While researching this product, I found that its purpose is to dissipate most of the surge, so your surge protectors don't have to do as much work. I didn't have to use any relay wires and the installation was pretty easy. forward to my electrician. When installing in residential areas, you need to make sure you have space on the panel. Since this has to go to the switches at the top of the panel, you may need to move the existing switches down a notch. In other words, not all installs will be as easy as mine. I had space in the box and the cables to the existing switches that needed to be moved were long enough to get to their new location. top position of the switch. They were literally about 1 inch shorter. There were a few wires that we didn't need to use, and this unit supported types of wiring other than single phase. So I'm not sure if this is a standard unit for houses or if it's really a bit overkill. However, I'm happy with the device and I'm sure it should bring peace of mind in the future.
