I wanted more shoes that would work on the dance floor at weddings and they work great. I love that the front of the shoe is designed in such a way that they definitely protect your feet from bruises when you have a bad dance partner. I really like that part of these shoes. They have nice padding on the inside of the shoe, which makes it very comfortable to walk and stand for long periods of time. The look of the shoe is a bit rough, but it goes with almost all outfits that I normally wear. The laces are very nice and probably won't wear too much. They tend to unravel quickly so I have to double knot them to keep them tied. Laces can be used for a tighter fit, but I recommend only using thin socks as thick socks make the shoe very tight for me. The bottom of the shoe offers good traction on most surfaces. I had no issues or problems with slipping. In general I like these shows as the design is nice and comfortable. I wish it had a little more insulation as it tends to smell from not ventilating well. I usually fix it with tea bags. Overall great shoes.
