Hello! I bought 4 packs of these compression stockings as they are not wool. I have Smartwell wool compression stockings as well as various brands including thick granny stockings and thinner holiday stockings. EVERYTHING is too hot to wear for long. They are just as effective as my Smartwell socks. Better than grannies and on par with thinner tights when it comes to compression. They are as light as I have found in terms of temperature. These are not summer socks, but every little thing helps! PLUS the bare ones I have are really fun AND they go down to my knee without causing a skin bulge. As the title says, I was pleasantly surprised!
