I bought this tripod mount for my daughter's tablet which is protected in a case. The case measures 7.5 inches from end to end so I assumed it would fit. However, the product description is misleading as the maximum setting is 7.9 inches. This is a measurement of the outside diameter, not the inside diameter. In reality, this tablet tripod mount will only fit a device with a maximum width/height of 6.625 inches due to the protrusions/protrusions that grip the top and bottom of the tablet. These pictures were taken with the mount as open as possible. .Protrusions/lips are about 3/4" deep for those who want to know how deep they are. It fits easily into most tablet cases without removing the foam padding. On a positive note, the mount Includes a spare set of replacement self-adhesive pads.It seems pretty well made to be a cheap plastic mount.However, the mount does not support a tablet larger than 6.625" wide/high.
