The clamping mechanism works with a screw. This product is said to have 2 screws on each end and it only has 1. It actually has room to put a second screw in, but it only comes with one screw making it difficult to attach properly. Basically you need to tighten 1 screw all the way so that one side is flush and there is a gap on the other side (where the other screw goes). When it's time to take it off, it won't come off even if the screw is all the way out, so you'll have to force it out while scratching the faucet, so be careful.
