Review on π CenturyLink Greenwave C4000XG Router by Sean Baller
not compatible with house wiring
If your house telephone and Internet wiring are from Centurylink, this modem will not work, you need the C4000LG even if you no longer have a telephone connection. You can determine this by looking at the cable connected from the wall outlet to the current modem's DSL port. If it only has 4 leads you need c4000lg, c4000xg will not fit. Almazon doesn't show a picture of the back of the xg model so you can see what the connector looks like.
