The moment I opened the box and realized how cheap this thing was, I knew this thing wasn't going to last long. Due to shipping damage I had to bend it back into shape. The manufacturer was obviously too cheap to do the welding; it was held together with small metal screws. I bought it in March 2019, in September 2020 it became an irreparable mess. I can't understand why a product like this at this price point can't last for many years - it's not a complicated thing, not mechanical - it's a kettle. The only plus point is the loud whistle, I'd give it two stars for that, but I just can't because the thing is designed for boiling water - if the handle falls off while it's full of boiling water, there could be serious consequences Injury. While I personally have not suffered any damage, I consider this product to be defective and unsafe.
