Not as advertised; Misleading advertising and possibly fake

No stamp on materials like steel 18/10 made in Germany. This product is made in China. I expected the Muller name to be a solid product, with a well designed movement and a lot heavier. It's thin light metal, looks really bad and the screws were loose right out of the box. Back immediately. Maybe Austrian design but not sure about the quality of the materials. This product looks like a fake.

Rusted in 6 days

I only bought this kettle because the post office says its patented technology boils water faster. Well I've had a $12 kettle before and it boiled just as fast so I don't know how much faster this one boils. I like the look, it pours well too. Let's see how long this lasts. July 31st *UPDATE* How does rust form on what is supposed to be "cook-grade" aluminum? I tried cleaning it, it didn't help. I'm really disappointed now. I've used it a total of 6 times and am already buying another one. 3rd…

Don't waste money. Chinese steel is bad. No bueno.

Completely disgusted with this teapot. I use bottled spring water, knowing it won't leave a residue in an open pot. It does. Every time I use it I have to pluck the glue around the perimeter of the base. I just cleaned it today but found I didn't have to to show you the milky white water left. Also, the steel is made in China, which worries me because the cheap Walmart I had before did the same thing, but I used filtered city water through that one AND a bottled source. So I can only conclude…

dangerous if it falls apart while you carry boiling water

The moment I opened the box and realized how cheap this thing was, I knew this thing wasn't going to last long. Due to shipping damage I had to bend it back into shape. The manufacturer was obviously too cheap to do the welding; it was held together with small metal screws. I bought it in March 2019, in September 2020 it became an irreparable mess. I can't understand why a product like this at this price point can't last for many years - it's not a complicated thing, not mechanical - it's a…

The best teapot!

After years of buying poorly designed brand name teapots that fell apart after a few years, I decided to do a little research before buying a new one. After reading hours of reviews and comments, I settled on the Mueller Stainless Steel Whistling Kettle. This kettle ticks all of my boxes: affordable, durable, cooking quality stainless steel, whistling, cool to the touch, stylish and most importantly made in Austria to EU quality standards (and not potentially contaminated by caustic - what…

Glue, grease and/or chemicals in kettle

Weird cleaning process until kettle is safe to use. As instructed, I cleaned the cauldron, dried it, and then boiled two cauldrons of water as instructed. However, there are some "unknown particles" inside the pot that pollute the water. If you pour boiled water into a cup, you will see small particles floating in it. I have no idea what those chemicals are. I went through the cleaning instructions for the second time. After several uses, these particles returned. What the hell is that thing…

Genuine Review - Cookware

This was intended to be a gift but I have learned in my never before seen order history to inspect a gift or risk embarrassment or worse disappointment. It was sent box in box, great, so if it's direct to recipient the item isn't shown and there's no packing list so the price isn't given away. So far, so good. I noticed that the box itself has minor cosmetic damage but is still worth the wrapping paper. Contents appear to be in good condition, no dents or scratches, maker's mark tastefully…
