'Oversized' means it is NOT REALLY M12 thread

This 'oversized' screw was designed to tap a new thread into a cut M12 drain. I bought this thinking it was actually M12-1.75 as that is the spec for the spiral thread I put in my torn oil plug. The plug I received is consistent with the product list; I just got the wrong impression. I haven't used this product for its intended purpose so I can't say how it will work. Here are a few photos showing the major diameter as well as the diameter of the actual M12-1.75 thread (so people don't make the same mistake I did).
