Very basic leveling kit

Very basic leveling kit Husband loves the look he gave his Silverado no more rakes he says nice and level to give the truck a massive look without being overboard in height to go. He paid a mechanic to install it while the truck was running but felt he could have done it himself, it was just easier with the truck on the lift. The front end is actually raised 2 inches to level the car and not knock it over.

Perfect fit and easy installation

Bought for my 2015 Gmc 1500. The perfect landing took about 45 minutes for the driver and 15 minutes for the passenger. I just took the tires off and took out 2 bolts, used a pry bar and 2 people. I'm certainly not a mechanic, but it was easy! Just take one screw at a time. 2 inches was perfect for him to sit flat. I'm not sure yet what tire size to use, but I see a big difference. Not the best photos!

Pros
  • Loads of positive vibes

Great sentence! good for chassis

Great kit that did exactly what I needed. This should have matched my 33X12.50X20! Please read and follow the instructions. I've read that some people didn't get the full 2 inch travel. I am 2" to T. Take the time to install this product correctly and according to Rough Country instructions, or take it to a professional installer. People who install a "shortcut" miss many of the small details required to make that seal work.

Easy installation. best in shocks, struts and suspension

Should probably be 5 stars. It just seems a little cheesy to be plastic. I think it could be aluminum for the same price. I installed them in about an hour but didn't follow the instructions I don't recommend, that's your choice. I just jacked it up, removed the front tires, unscrewed the bottom two bolts on each bottom brace, pushed the top arm down and had my adult son put the spacers back on. Mounted and tightened bolts, washers and nuts, tires replaced and laid on floor. DID! Raised my 2009

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Cleanliness

Installed on a 2011 Z71 Silverado Crew Cab. According to the instructions, I inserted the rear bolts from below without touching the axle. Installation was pretty easy, I didn't knock out the bottom ball joint. Removing the stabilizer was enough to put the kit in place with relative ease. The entire installation from raising the truck in the air to lowering it and taking it off took 2 hours using hand tools. I'll update if there are further developments, but I don't see any problems unlessโ€ฆ

Almost as easy as leveling your truck.

Nothing special. A few plastic parts in the shape of a wide U and a couple of bolts. They loosen a few things to keep the shaft from popping out of the front axle if you have 4WD (it's a PIA to put enough pressure on it and twist it to get it back up). I used a bungee type rubber band to hold the hub in place so gravity would pull it on the driver's side. Neglected on the passenger side and it took a lot of grumbling and leverage to get the damn thing back. To be honest the estimated 3 hourโ€ฆ

Pros
  • The best in its niche
Cons
  • Damaged

Good and cheap way to give your truck a more aggressive look. Installation was more difficult than expected. Pros: Cheap, arrives fast, installation isn't INCREDIBLY difficult. Cons: It's a flat kit, so it's obvious that ride quality suffers, speed bumps and the like get in the way. Changes the suspension geometry. Note that this can cause premature wear of some suspension components. Also remember that a mate helped me and we reinstalled the bolts in the same direction we removed them, butโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Heavy Duty Finish
Cons
  • Long Lead Time

Neutral to these. They work, but I just don't like the "composite " stuff.

I simply installed them. It would have been very easy, but it was just me. I had to pry off the stabilizer with my foot and put it in the back. I installed the screws pointing upwards like standard screws. You can't put the screw under the axle, it's easy to do, it has to go from below. BE SURE TO CUT THE SCREWS about 1/4"-3/8" so the exposed bolt doesn't hit the axle (4x4 only) and tighten! Installing the screws facing up does not expose the threads on the underside of the vehicle. If you slip

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Discontinued model

I installed this kit on my 17 Sierra Crew over the weekend. Firstly for those who complain in their reviews that the bolts are too long. Did you really "read" the instructions? The instructions say very clearly (there even seems to be a picture!) to install the bolts through "TOP" and the nuts from the bottom? There are no screw issues and the kit is pretty easy to assemble. It's very disappointing to read negative feedback from people who obviously didn't read and/or follow the instructionsโ€ฆ
