I was very satisfied with this product when I first bought it, very easy to install and very safe to use. The product description was impressive but now it's only a year and a half old and completely rusted and no longer used. That's where the problems start, with product advertising. It states that the product is made of galvanized steel and carries a lifetime guarantee. Well, for a year and a half the last part rusted. What happened to the galvanized steel, it was painted black, but you could tell very easily that it wasn't galvanized steel. I take very good care of my truck and it is always clean and shiny. I was very disappointed when I had to order another one due to rust. So much lifetime guarantee. Even when I go to their website it is nowhere to be found. The price was right, it worked well for a disabled veteran but rusted in less than 1.6 years. with a lifetime guarantee. Supposedly galvanized steel. I'm only trying the other one because it works so well that I can climb into the back of my truck without falling. One more thing, I just got another one and guess what, I had to re-drill the holes for the adjustment pins to fit. Oops! There must be a quality problem.
