First, I like that they are rechargeable. The temperature of the light they emit is realistic. To create a flame effect instead of the wick there is a small piece in the shape of a flame and when you turn on the candle it sways and trembles like a real flame. Another cool feature is the remote control that comes pre-programmed so no syncing is required. Simply remove the plastic latch protecting the remote's battery and you're good to go. On this remote control you have the option to switch off the candles after 2, 4, 6 or 8 hours. If left alone, your candles will turn on at the same time the next day and go out at a reasonable time when you first programmed them. A++++
