The switch is manufactured to very tight tolerances. The external dimensions are not quite the same as the original, but the high/low beam switch works the worst. Changing beams is a real struggle. It works every 10-20 tries. A decent aftermarket switch is only a few bucks more, and it's not worth risking an accident by not changing the light beam in time and blinding the driver in front of you.
