I was looking for a stainless steel model and it fit the bill compared to most similar juicers which are primarily cast aluminum. Why the company chose aluminum for squeezing tart citrus is beyond me. Aluminum is a soft metal that can get into sap and is toxic to the human body, which is why I bought this product for its durable stainless steel construction and safe, rust-free, non-porous metal. It works like a charm and is easy to clean. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars for durability is because the parts are spot welded and not riveted. I highly recommend quartering large oranges and pomegranates to ensure you don't put pressure on the handle, which can cause it to snap off at the weld. There have been no complaints about this, but I generally avoid spot-welded kitchen utensils, especially handles on dishes that used to break off. Time will tell how durable this product is. So far, so good. Fast and easy. It also comes with seed bags to insert fruit when squeezing, which is especially handy for pomegranates. I recommend this item.
