Advantages:1. You will save hundreds of programming at the dealer.2. This is a 1 minute or less 4 step process. Cons: 1. Useless and greedy 3 session limit built into the programming tool.2. If you have trouble following the instructions, you can screw it up so badly that you'll exceed your 3 session limit if you get the correct sequence of operations.3. The written instructions and instructions printed on the reprogramming tool itself contradict how long the lock and unlock buttons must be pressed to enter programming mode. On my 2011 Sequoia, it took 5 seconds, not 3 seconds, to enter programming mode and get a second confirmation beep.
