I bought this after I got the Whipped Dog 30mm silver tip brush and didn't have a good place to hang it. I used the plastic stand that my Parker brush came with, but I don't like the fact that the brush (30mm) clips into position at the base of the brush. Once on the stand, it never pinches the brush. I bought this stand on a forum recommendation as a possible solution. Unfortunately, the brush hole is about 2 mm smaller. When I placed the brush on the stand, he squeezed the brush (similar to Geofatboy's nose application style). Another thing I didn't like was how flimsy it was. It does an excellent job of keeping the Parker brush (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004U6P0NW/ref=od_aui_detailpages01?ie=UTF8&psc=1) off the metal part of the handle. meets my requirements, but in general the stand is not terrible.
