An update on my previous review where I gave it a 4. Less than a year later nothing but absolutely straight, straight arm immediately falls forward. When he got up, the light itself is pleasant. Whatever it is, it's a waste of money. Initially I really liked it for my piano, but even when it was extended to an angle of about 45 degrees it didn't hold the angle: it just kept falling. At a smaller angle, as shown in the picture here, it holds up well. While this would be a good lighting solution for a piano that isn't against a wall, since it now holds no angle other than fully upright, it's useless. The ability to adjust the lightbar's angles helped for a while, but the adjustments aren't great when it's lying flat on your face. Nothing to tighten. The lamp must be connected to a power source: a power supply or a socket with a USB adapter. The package does not include a power adapter. Even after reading it several times before buying it, I didn't see the clarity of what was being said. My recommendation: don't buy it!
