This is a 100% direct replacement for first generation Silverado and GMC cartridges (1999-2006/2007). Intake and exhaust offset, both 2.75" OD, light wall tubing. This is a Walker, part number 18138. Many reviewers gave poor reviews and complained that this muffler was not a 'direct replacement'. It is a completely direct one Replacement for some Silverados and Sierras.The 4.3 V6 uses this muffler as I'm sure most unleaded petrol engines do.I think diesel engines should have different mufflers.Confirm again by specifying the length of the muffler as well as the diameter of the Measuring pipe going in and out of the muffler. Cruising speed to even listen to some music. I'm so relaxed. I've had noisy car and truck exhausts my entire life but the hole in my Silverado's muffler was just horrible in places with high humidity, rain, snow and/or salt The muffler has a thin coating of anti-corrosion grease on the outside that will spread during warms up and evaporates after the first use.
