wanted a tape recorder that could be placed under the table for tightening. not the most ethical but wanted something to keep conversations going with my clients in case there were disagreements later. found this after a long search and decided to give it a try. The voice recording mode works very well, but with some limitations. There is NO display on this thing, and increasingly detailed settings are controlled with a text editor. What. It's a little confusing at first, but it's worth it as you can set the bitrate, file type, volume, and more to really customize the functionality of this thing. Everything was pretty well explained in the text files (contained in the internal memory of the device) and I figured it out pretty quickly. The included headphones are nice, but useless to me as I basically just drag and drop MP3 files into a folder and listen to them from my computer. In general, if you need a daily voice recorder, this isn't the case. but if you want something that, like me, has really long battery life and can be set up and forgotten for a long time, this thing works!
