The cartridge has not worked for a very long time

Stay away! Easy to install, recognizable as a genuine HP black ink cartridge. However, it only lasted a few days, after which the printer stopped printing. The printer said it was almost full, but nothing. The faulty black cartridge has been removed and replaced with a genuine HP color cartridge. I later installed a black HP printer and the printer worked again.
