I've always had "sensory issues" and the latest trend of weighted blankets and the like have made it easier for me to find the deep pressure my body craves. I have a weighted blanket but it either falls to the ground or I roll out from under it at night. This sleeping pod rolls with me. I can easily get out if I have to, but it's a lot easier than trying to wrap a burrito yourself. I like a lot of pressure on my body, especially on my torso and shoulders. I'm not sure what that $99 is, but I'm glad I bought it. It feels like the same pressure as a weighted blanket and I was able to fall asleep 60-90 minutes earlier than usual which is a blessing. I fell asleep and woke up refreshed.
