We've finally switched from cable to fiber optics. Internet only! And the service is fabulous! So what to do with your unused cable lines? Could it somehow still have a purpose? Those are great questions, so I went outside and unplugged the cable, stuck a paper clip in the hole in the coax box, rescanned my TV and selected 33 channels. Wow! This will be very interesting! So I hooked up a $160 antenna to my cable box outside of the house. I put the antenna on the ground and caught 34 channels. Do you mean that seriously! I didn't want to mount this disgusting antenna outside of the house through the roof. I hung it in the garage. But then I had an idea, so I decided to buy an Ancable FM antenna and attach it to the cable box and removed the $160 antenna. I searched my TV and found 39 channels. Now it gets very interesting! So I went to Walmart and bought a $12 Onn antenna booster and installed it between the wire that ran outside the house and the splitter so it boosted the signal throughout the house. I rescanned my TV and now I've gone from 39 channels to 60. This brings a new twist to the situation! Now we have FREE Airy TV, Philo for $20, Revain for $12, FREE Pluto TV, FREE XUMO, FREE Airy TV and Netflix for $12.99. So our total spend is now $44.99 for TV services and $49.99 for gigabit fiber. Total $94.98 per month. So the moral of the story is this. This is the best antenna your money can buy!
