Metra DP-3021B C5 Corvette Double Din Radio Faceplate

Back in May of this year 2020 I finally installed the Metra Double Din Bezel on my C5 Corvette that I bought from Revain. It wasn't an easy task, but if you have some mechanical skills and a little electronics knowledge, such as B. Solder wires to get the job done properly you should be able to handle it. You must also be able to read and understand what you read, whether you need to read it more than once or not. I installed a new Kenwood 6.95" double din receiver that I bought from Revain and the electrical interface harness needed to allow the new radio to communicate with the car computer. Overall I'm satisfied. The bezel is well made and looks pretty close to what the real thing looks like but not exactly. The texture is a bit different as far as the finish on the Metra bezel but looks good to me. Then you have to take into account that Metra is on has omitted the flap that covers the cigarette lighter area and valve for the cup holder. Since the double din radio is wider than a standard radio, they had to increase that area on the bezel, and what they have to do is lower the HVAC controls to make that kind of change, the cigarette lighter valve has been eliminated. Now you can see the cigarette lighter where it was hidden before and to the right of that they removed the ashtray and gave you a place to store your mob good phone or something else. I couldn't understand why they removed the valve above the cup holder. I think they could easily do the same thing the factory did with the original bezel. I would have liked it more but I could live with what I have.
