I don't feel nostalgic about these sponges like a lot of reviewers do, I just wanted to try something different. These sponges are pretty amazing. They are very powerful cleaning agents and seem to hold soap well. They are superior to any other sponge I have used. With careful use, they are fairly durable: the knives cut through the outer braid, causing the sponge to die prematurely. But apart from that they are beautiful. I'm responsible for buying kitchen utensils for myself and 7 roommates, so I buy them regularly. The best sponges I have ever used, outperforming traditional alternatives in performance and durability.
