These socks are soft and wash very well. The scalloped edges are very feminine. They are as thin as dress socks, about the same weight as baby and toddler Maggie socks, and thinner than child and adult Maggie socks. My daughter wore them all summer with her Soft Star Ramblers. Had they not outgrown them (or our cotton sock season would have been longer), I think they would have lasted a year or more with constant use. If you are looking for organic socks for preschoolers and older, this is a great option.
