Review on 50179 Craft Silicone Molds Handmade by Karla Richter

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I like it. The more liquid consistency of the filling makes the mold thinner.

This may be appropriate but the detail of the shape will improve as the smoothness and finer consistency of what you pour increases. I would suggest that it melts and pours and melted wax comes out best after hardening. I use this for excess hot process soap - I use a silicone bread mold first and pour the rest into smaller molds before popping them in the oven for the next few hours. The thickness of the trace can vary with my soap depending on the fragrance, so I've found that the thicker the trace, the less detailed the shape looks, so ground soap is likely to lose most of the detail. However, Being a natural soap, I think the imperfections add to the charm. I wish the shape was a bit bigger - make sure you draw the measurements and I found it really expensive for a single shape. Generally you want to make soaps in bulk, so making a bunch of them would be wasteful. I got it more as a treat and to have a nicer way to pour off the excess traceable soap. Make enough batches and they make the perfect gift for someone. I got it more as a treat and to have a nicer way to pour off the excess traceable soap.
