Great video, everything you need.

Mr. Caputo gives detailed instructions on the maintenance and repair of the 1911 pistol. He explains that he is not a gunsmith and therefore you are looking for information on how to build a 1911 Scratch, it will not be here . On the other hand, if you need to do minor repairs like replacing a piston sleeve, installing a thumb guard, or adjusting and tuning a puller, this is a great resource. As a LEO, having worn the 1911 for most of his 39-year career, I can tell you that much of the 1911's tactical overhaul is unnecessary. It may be aesthetically pleasing, but it won't make you a better shooter or improve your skills. Take a good, solid, all-steel 5-inch government model and leave it alone for the most part. Minor issues like a tactical thumb guard or scope are fine, but nobody needs or should carry a 2-pound trigger gun. This video is great, buy it you won't be disappointed.
