Well it's a gasket. and he condenses. Appears to be a quality item. The lid seems to be a bit tighter after replacing the original. My original problem. I had brake fluid that looked like the back of the master cylinder. After ordering the master cylinder, I pulled the original out only to find it was completely dry and not leaking from the piston seals. Upon closer inspection I looked at the reservoir cap and found that the original gasket has a 1/8 inch long tear that is only exposed when this original gasket is flexed. Ordered this part and the problem is solved. Just wanted to check before I delve into removing the master cylinder. I will update if there are any problems.
