These shorts fit very well - will not shrink, shrink or pull. They are very comfortable and fit as I expected (when I wear a medium size) with the length I expected. 2 side pockets are very spacious. I carried a phone, a small radio and keys in it (separately, not all at once) and they close well, don't stick out. The zippers are hidden and very discreet when closed, with a fabric tab covering them. There is also a nice back pocket that also closes with a zipper. This back pocket is not very wide but deep and easily fits keys or a phone. The stitching looks very strong and the shorts feel very well sewn. The fabric also seems to be of good quality, especially considering the price of these shorts. I also love the fact that these shorts have a drawstring waist. The elastic waistband isn't too tight, so the drawstring makes it easy to tie them tight or loose depending on your preference. The only thing I didn't like is that I ordered 2 pairs: 1 black and 1 "dark blue" pair which appears to be mottled blue. You are not. In any case, they can be considered dark blue. If I had an exact idea of the color and not what the picture shows I would order light gray with either black or blue to have 1 dark pair and 1 light pair. Now I have 2 pairs of very dark colors, almost indistinguishable in color (see photo).
