Cute For Little People, Not Super Educational
My six year old loved making this. She needed help mixing the chemicals (the temperature of the water needs to be right or the powder won't dissolve). You cut and shape the pipe cleaners for tails and ears, dip into the solutions once each. I'd put the fox right side up in the solution if I did it again.the crystals got smushed on the ear being upside down.I does not teach much about crystals or chemistry. It's just a fun project. You could supplement information to really make it more educational.
