Overheating problem, use carefully
After reading positive and negative customer reviews, I chose this product because of its cost-effectiveness. I had to take the advice of some other reviewers whose tanks were getting too hot. I put a heater in my 2.5G tank for my betta and it worked fine for about 2 weeks. I took my temperature twice a day, sometimes with my fingers because I was nervous about overheating stories. Then this morning during feeding I checked the temperature, it was not lower than 90 degrees. I immediately took out the heater and threw in an ice cube to slowly lower the temperature. After I took the heater out, it felt incredibly hot. Luckily the fish survived and appears to be fine.
