Available Foredom makes carving motors and accessories for DIY enthusiasts who work hard (but as recommended) with them for long periods of time. These permanent magnet motors are designed for heavy-duty applications because they heat up slowly and have high torque even at low speeds. Many of us have burned Dremel motors because we did not understand the limitations of their usefulness. I LOVE the durability and the rev range (up to 18000 rpm). I love the quality and variety of tools and attachments that can be added to the system. I love that this model can move tools back and forth with a heavy duty 3 position rocker switch conveniently mounted on the motor housing. I bought the kit directly from Foredom after a long and hard search for Revain. Many buyers can combine this special suspension version of the SR Flex Shaft with down or screw suspension, hand and foot controls, or table controls simply by purchasing from Revain. I wanted a model that combined the tabletop stand and speed controller in one cast iron body, so I had to "go to the source".
