Better reception than laptop

We have two PCs Moved to a different room than our router and wanted to connect them to the router wirelessly. The laptop had its own built-in WiFi, but the desktop required a wireless connection. We found this BrosTrend AC1200 unit more attractive than the half-price whistle adapters because it would be difficult to fit them behind a desktop PC with its cables (power, video, keyboard, etc.), and besides, I wouldn't place them the antenna in a good reception area. This BrosTrend AC1200 was attractive in that it offered a stand that could be positioned more optimally and didn't tend to overload. I was a bit nervous about a brand I wasn't familiar with - BrosTrend - but things started to change when I downloaded the drivers (from the CD that came with it) and saw that some parts of the drivers were from RealTEK and others from Cisco have been provided. famous names. The proof of the pudding is that it worked? The results were better than I had hoped. I've attached an image comparing wireless connections in our area as seen on a desktop PC with a BrosTrend adapter on the left and a laptop with built-in wireless on the right. Remember that both computers are on the same shelf. You can see that when using the BrosTrend antenna, the same signals were always a column or two larger. In addition, you can also see two tri-band signals that the BrosTrend antenna picked up but the laptop didn't. And the desktop PC is a dual boot computer, so I installed the BrosTrend adapter on both Windows XP Pro 32-bit and Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit without any problems. Some reviewers didn't see the CD in its box so I've attached photos of the box we actually received - the CD and instructions were in this cardboard folder so you can't see them until you open the box and then open the folder. The installation of Windows 7 went smoothly. Installing Windows XP was a little tricky. But after installation, both operating systems started and connected the adapter transparently (without user action).
