Review on Gardner Bender GCT-3304 Continuity Tester: Ensuring Electrical Connection in a Snap! by Brad Cash

Very useful little tester. I work as a technician in the entertainment industry and wanted to find a way to check the integrity of lights, cables, etc. without having to carry a multimeter around with me all day. This little thing does the job. The bright red LED is clearly visible. My only problems so far have been: 1. The battery has come loose from the contacts a couple of times. It's held in place by a fairly flimsy plastic tab, and I've had an occasion or two where I thought the battery was dead, but it actually came loose. Easy to fix.2. The cord is a bit long and can easily get tangled in a tool pouch or pocket (which apparently this tester was designed for given the pocket clip). The alligator clip does not allow easy inspection of very small components. I'm not sure what applications this is commonly used for, but it didn't work for what I needed. Luckily I had an old voltage tester laying around and I remade one of the wires by crimping it onto this tester as a spare terminal.
