Got a Microsoft Surface Pro 3 i7 backup a year and a half ago. Barely holding on to life. - The software is terribly annoying. Beeps are on by default, constantly on and off with no rhyme or reason. Searched for a solution and found nothing. My time is too valuable to waste. I'm not a tech newbie either. If someone paying upwards of $100 an hour to fix their computer is having an unusually difficult time setting up a device, imagine the average end user. Maybe I have a lemon. Roll the dice if you like. - After constantly disconnecting because of the annoying "plug and pray" it now only works when the cable is positioned that way. The USB connector must have weak solder joints. Tried other ports and cables - to no avail. The external "military” device must be able to withstand power failures. Result. I certainly can't trust it to back up my data and will replace it with something that doesn't suck.
