I've had it for 4 months now. I didn't use it the way they designed it because I thought it was bad design. So I made a few modifications here. First, I didn't like the magnetic cross on the outside of the phone or the case. I have an otter box and he accumulated in it. I laser engraved the area in case I wanted the magnetic "X" to go, it worked fine. I don't recommend it, although I'm not sure what the otter is made of exactly, but the fumes were likely toxic. This worked pretty well to get the case in contact with the charger. It never charged faster than normal, but seems fine. While it worked well it wasn't great, I could see the phone losing its magnetic pull for a moment and that would affect charging. So I had some neodymium magnets and I 3D printed a case for them that matched the pattern of the magnetic letter "X". This added more magnetic power, but the case was a bit thick, making charging less efficient. I then pulled the neodymium magnets out of my 3D printed case and placed them directly on the charger. At first I was concerned that the phone would pull the magnets out of the charger, but that didn't happen. Another increase in magnetic attraction, and I believe that charging has done well. Eventually the charging efficiency dropped though, I have yet to try another cable which could be a problem. Finally, the device itself is bulky. While nicely built, it protrudes slightly from the vent and that distance creates a problem where the phone's weight topples the whole thing, useless when navigating a map. Again, I 3D printed the stopper that kept the phone from tipping over and it continues to work well. Today I ripped all the foam pads that are supposed to cushion the phone without a case but that tells me nothing. I was hoping to decrease the distance the neodymium magnets created. Not sure how efficient that will be. I really wish this product was better than it was and I hope it was. But without a tilt stop and the ability to hide the magnetic cross and charging performance comparable to a traditional cable, I cannot recommend this product. My vision for the perfect wireless car charger would be similar, but the actual charging part sticks out a bit and the charger comes with a case. This case has a small notch for the charger, you still need the magnets and they are built into the case, so the case and charger combo. Sorry for the length, but thanks for reading.
